NARA is calling on all members to contact their U.S. House Representative and request that they co-sponsor H.R. 6574. This important legislation would help protect access to federal student loan programs for post-secondary students, including those pursuing careers in physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology.

The rehabilitation workforce pipeline is already facing significant pressure. Without adequate access to student financing, future clinicians may be forced to delay, limit, or abandon their professional education. This would ultimately impact patient's access to medically necessary rehabilitation services. NARA members understand firsthand that investing in students is an investment in the future of patient care.
