Protect Access to Telehealth for Medicare Beneficiaries – Action Needed By January 30!
As you know, the temporary flexibilities allowing broader access to telehealth services originally granted during the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency have played a pivotal role in enabling rehabilitation providers to reach patients safely and effectively across the care continuum. These flexibilities have enhanced access to physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology services for Medicare beneficiaries, particularly those in rural and underserved areas.

However, without Congressional action, these vital telehealth provisions are set to expire on January 30, 2026. This expiration would reverse critical progress and restrict the ability of providers to deliver care remotely, disrupting continuity of care and placing unnecessary burdens on both patients and clinicians.

Please take a few minutes to raise our collective voices and urge Congress to extend and make these telehealth flexibilities for 2026. We must ensure our patients continue to benefit from safe, effective, and accessible care regardless of location.
