Put simply, we are on the clock and its down to YOU. There has been after-election momentum on this critical issue and our community continues to push for advancements. Throughout 2024 you have repeatedly engaged. Only YOU can help us prevent further delays in reforming PBM tactics, delays that would have a further devastating impact on our community and patients.
With your help, NACDS RxIMPACT advocates sent thousands of communications that reached practically the entire U.S. House and inspired 120 U.S. House members to sign a bipartisan letter to House and Leadership calling for the prioritization of “PBM reform during end-of-year negotiations and ensure that the bipartisan efforts we have worked on throughout the 118th Congress are enacted into law." A similar letter is also being led by Senator Lankford (R-OK) in the Senate.
Last week 15 Congressional leaders leveraged a press conference to urge swift action on PBM reform. Joined by passionate patient, caregiver, and pharmacist advocates, bipartisan leaders issued a powerful call to action, urging Congress to enact reforms that hold PBM middlemen accountable for inflating medication costs.
NACDS, The National Community Pharmacists Association, the American Pharmacists Association, the National Association of Specialty Pharmacy, FMI – The Food Industry Association, the National Grocers Association and the National Alliance of State Pharmacy Associations sent a united letter to Congressional leadership urging immediate action on crucial PBM reforms this year to address practices that inflate prescription drug costs, force pharmacy closures, and block access to care.
NACDS RxIMPACT is calling on YOU to take BOTH critical actions.
