11/21/2024 ACTION ALERT: Urge Your US Rep. to Sign “PBM Reform Now” Letter to Leadership!
NACDS RxIMPACT is calling on YOU to help us elevate the urgency and pressure for Congress to take immediate action on “must-pass” pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) reforms in the 118th Congress. Write your U.S. Representative TODAY to help us build support for an important congressional sign-on letter!

U.S. Representatives Buddy Carter (R-GA), Nanette Barragan (D-CA), Diana Harshbarger (R-TN), Debbie Dingell (D-MI), Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY), and Bradley Schneider (D-IL) are leading a bipartisan PBM reform push to rally other U.S. Representatives to sign a congressional sign on letter to House and Senate leadership and call out the need for immediate enactment of  PBM reform! NACDS RxIMPACT needs your help today inspiring members of the U.S. House of Representatives to support this critical communication to leadership. What do you need to do? Simply use our online system to write your U.S. Representative!

PBMs – best known as ‘pharmaceutical benefit manipulators’ – use tactics that cause patients to pay more while PBMs make more. PBMs profit exorbitantly while driving up Americans' prescription drug costs, while reducing Americans' access to medications and pharmacies, and while forcing pharmacies to close.

On October 19th a second PBM reform New York Times article was issued that’s described by the paper as being about “how pharmacy benefit managers distort the health care system at the expense of patients, employers and taxpayers.” On June 21st the paper issued its “first article in a series about how pharmacy benefit managers prioritize their interests, often at the expense of patients, employers and taxpayers.”

A recent Morning Consult poll shows more than two-thirds of registered voters agree Congress should consider PBM reform legislation to be “must-pass legislation” in 2024. These voters agree Congress “should do whatever it takes” to ensure 2024 enactment. See the one-page fact sheet.

We must remind leaders the time for PBM reform is NOW. Although we hail the important bipartisan work of many important Senate and House committees, leadership, and other PBM-reform advocates, we must push for enactment to make these policies reality in 2024! NACDS RxIMPACT is calling on you to act today to tell your U.S. Representative it is critical to support this important effort. ACT TODAY!
