Testified to OMB and protected group broker access to Fixed Indemnity plans when participation plans required design that includes MEC plans + FI
Identified and reported PII vulnerability of social security numbers to CMS to protect consumers.
Facilitated 6 cosigners in congress to write to CMS to exempt brokers from definition of TPMO
Testified to the IRS advocating for the inclusion of DPC in the definition of 213(d) allowed medical expenses.
Won CMS interpretation of FMO compensation in 2024 MA Final Rule
Won repeal of ACA premium tax and excise tax (Cadillac tax)
Won CMS mandate of annual lock of broker compensation for both OEP and SEP enrollments of IFP plans
Won repeal of the $2,000 deductible cap
Won restoration of the OEP for MA plans as part of the Cures Act in 2016
Won inclusion of tax provision for LTC policies in 2022
Won inclusion of LTC partnerships in 2005 Deficit Reduction Act
Lobbied on the Medicare Modernization Act of 2003
Lead effort to identify and remedy issues with Medicare Plan Finder
Lead on MLR (medical loss ratio) bipartisan, bicameral legislation
Served on HIPAA steering committee to develop web-based 50-state compliance tool
