Save the Social Services Block Grant (SSBG) Program!

The proposed elimination of the Social Services Block Grant (SSBG) program would have devastating consequences for the large number of Meals on Wheels providers that rely on these funds to deliver critical services. Social Services Block Grant (SSBG) funding is vital in providing nutrition assistance and social connections to seniors, including home-delivered meals, which are often a lifeline for low-income and isolated older adults. Without this funding, community-based providers would be forced to scale back or eliminate home-delivered meal service, leaving vulnerable seniors at risk of hunger and isolation.

America’s seniors and the vital nutrition services they rely on cannot afford any cuts to SSBG funding.  With rising operational costs and growing unmet need, we need lawmakers to work together to strengthen and increase investments in Meals on Wheels providers.

Members of Congress urgently need to hear from their constituents and local leaders like you! Sharing a short story about your program and its impact in your community will help your Members of Congress understand the importance of the services you provide and abandon any proposed cuts to SSBG funding. Please customize the areas with an ***ASTERISK*** as it relates to your program.
