Better Medicare Alliance, alongside Meals on Wheels America and over 65 national, state, and local organizations from health care stakeholders to community-based organizations to providers and aging service organizations sent a letter to the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) urging them to protect a strong Medicare Advantage ahead of the CMS advance notice announcement. The letter aligns with CMS’ recently published Calendar Year 2025 Medicare Advantage and Part D Proposed Rule and supports CMS’ goals to advance health equity, enhance the value of supplemental benefits through data collection and evaluation, improve access to mental and behavioral health care, and establish marketing guidance that supports beneficiaries in making informed choices. It also calls on health plans and other stakeholders to strengthen and improve Medicare Advantage as a reliable, equitable, and high-quality health care coverage option for millions of seniors and people living with disabilities.
