The Root Cause Coalition, of which Meals on Wheels America is a member, sent a letter to both House and Senate Agriculture Committee Leadership expressing their support for hunger and nutrition priorities in the upcoming Farm Bill. The letter includes a focus on the impact of diet-related diseases on older adults and support for strengthening the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) to mitigate nutrition insecurity and diet-related diseases, as well as authorizing increased funding for the Produce Prescription Program aimed to incentivize healthy eating.
