The Coalition to End Social Isolation and Loneliness, of which Meals on Wheels America serves as a member of the Steering Committee, sent a letter to the House Committee on Ways and Means in response to Request for Information (RFI) on addressing chronic disparities in access to health care in rural and underserved communities. The letter urges Congress and the federal government to invest in policies that expand access to social and nutrition services that have proven to improve population health outcomes and lower spending on expensive traditional medical services.
