Meals on Wheels America signed on to a letter with over 700 other national, state and local nonprofit organizations to Congressional leaders calling for the renewal and expansion of the universal charitable deduction for non-itemizing taxpayers. The charitable deduction encourages individuals to donate more to the nonprofit organizations that serve in their communities, like Meals on Wheels.
