The Leadership Council of Aging Organizations (LCAO), of which Meals on Wheels America is a member, submitted a Chair comment letter to the Office of Civil Rights at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The letter addresses a proposed rule to strengthen nondiscrimination protections under Section 1557 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) and makes recommendations related to the regulation’s increased support for older adults and people with disabilities who rely on health programs provided under the Act.
