In August, members of Congress return to their hometowns for district work periods and it's just the time for mentoring advocates to educate and communicate with their elected officials at home. You can help advance the mentoring movement by participating in Advocacy August today!
During Advocacy August you can use MENTOR's Toolkit that includes resources on how to set-up a meeting or site visit with your member of Congress or attend a Town Hall. Mentoring advocates can also use their voices to ask members of Congress to increase federal funding for mentoring programs, expand mentoring opportunities to young people in foster care and support the mentoring movement all in one message.
You can urge your members of Congress to prioritize youth mentoring throughout Advocacy August and the year by taking action today!
