Beacon Hill politicians are once again reaching into taxpayers’ pockets to fund our out-of-control emergency shelter system that’s costing over $1 billion a year—with no end in sight. On February 6, the House approved a $425 million spending package to bail out a system that has already run out of money, thanks to our sanctuary state policies and near unlimited public benefits that attract more demand than our state can afford.
This bill is now set to go before the senate THIS WEEK.
For three years, instead of reforming the program, the Governor and lawmakers have simply thrown more taxpayer money at the failed program. Lawmakers are once again pushing another blank check while refusing to address the root of the problem: Massachusetts’ “right-to-shelter” law, its generous welfare benefits, and sanctuary policies that have turned our state into a magnet for unsustainable illegal immigration and inadmissible migrants.
Enough is enough. Tell your Senators to VOTE NO on this reckless spending bill, which is just another taxpayer bailout. Click the link below to send a message before the next vote!
