A Canadian reporter was aggressively arrested and falsely accused of assault for the simple act of asking a politician questions – we cannot let this horrible attack on freedom go ignored. Send a message to the Members of Parliament (MPs) Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) today, urging them to discipline the officer who made the unjust arrest and conduct an investigation of all officers involved so that those responsible may be charged with false arrest.
On Tuesday, Rebel News reporter David Menzies was walking beside Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland. He was suddenly blocked by a plainclothes officer, who arrested Menzies while accusing him of physically assaulting an officer.
The video of the incident clearly shows no reason for such an accusation.
Do not let this ridiculous arrest go without consequence – send an urgent message to the MPs and RCMP today.
We cannot allow the police force to support this officer’s actions or the MPs to stand by without acting. They are obligated to protect Canadians’ freedoms.
“Welcome to Canada,” Menzies says in the video while being arrested. “This is what they do to journalists. I was merely trying to scrum Minister Freeland and the RCMP officer blocked me, and evidently this is a trumped-up charge of assault, folks. I came here to do my job and now I’m handcuffed.”
Is this what we hope to continue seeing in Canada? If we don’t insist upon our leaders disciplining and putting an end to this egregious behavior, it will soon become commonplace.
We must insist that our leaders ACT NOW – SEND A MESSAGE TO THE MPS AND RCMP TODAY.
SIGN & SHARE: We demand that our leaders stop tolerating violations of freedom.
