The Trudeau government is attempting to send the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) to seize Saskatchewan’s bank account after the province stopped collecting the carbon tax.
Although certain Canadian citizens have been granted carbon tax relief by the Trudeau regime, Saskatchewan residents have not. In response to this move, the province stopped collecting the tax from its citizens.
In turn, the federal government announced that they will have the CRA take control of the province’s bank account, which Saskatchewan leaders have called “unfair” and “unconstitutional.” Saskatchewan has been granted a temporary court injunction to stop the move.

Saskatchewan’s Justice Minister Bronwyn Eyre explains, “They’re sending the Canada Revenue Agency after the Province’s bank account ... And the reason they’re doing this is because we are providing Saskatchewan residents with the exact same carbon tax exemption as Trudeau is giving other Canadians.”
Describing Saskatchewan’s choice to follow with the injunction, Eyre says, “section 126 of Canada’s constitution does not allow the federal government to grab money from a province’s bank account.”
We must act now and demand that all provinces be treated fairly and that Canada’s constitution be upheld. We cannot allow these types of actions to continue.
