HB 2706 - Rep. Elizabeth Hernandez (D): Reinforces Illinois as a sanctuary state by: prohibiting law enforcement from retaining immigration status or place of birth of any individual; prohibiting law enforcement from giving immigration agents any information whatsoever about any individual they have in custody; prohibits data-sharing electronic databases.
