The Romeikes are facing deportation to Germany. Congress can give them time.

H.R. 5423 can save the Romeikes, but it’s stuck in review.

H.R. 5423 is a private bill that would make the Romeikes eligible to begin the citizenship application process. But it's stuck in a bureaucratic logjam. The House Judiciary Committee must adopt rules for how to consider private bills before it can review and vote on the Romeike's bill.

Your representative may be one of the few officials on the committee who can help approve these rules and loosen the logjam. You are powerfully situated to convince your representative to work with the rest of the committee to adopt the rules allowing a vote on H.R. 5423.

Submit your message and address on the following form and we will automatically notify you whether your representative is on the committee, or you can view the full committee here.

Thank you for supporting the Romeikes.
