2025 FGCU Legislative Internship Program
7/1/2024 - 5/9/2025

The program provides an opportunity for FGCU students to receive a full-time, non-partisan internship that is stipend supported during the Spring Semester of each academic year.  Interns will receive hands-on experience learning about state political dynamics and the legislative process while working for an elected official or within a government agency.

Program participants will receive well-rounded political and academic experience that complements traditional classroom learning with the ability to acquire unique job skills, protocol skills, and networking skills within the atmosphere of the Florida State Capitol.

Legislative Interns represent FGCU, and therefore, the highest conduct is expected.  Interns must adapt to a rigorous work schedule, and develop an effective working relationship with their sponsoring elected official and/or supervisor.
