Operational Funding Support - $21,865,346 (Recurring)
This request allows FGCU to operationalize the five-year strategic plan, Innovating for Student Success: FGCU’s Journey to Excellence. With a real-time performance scorecard to measure goals and milestones, FGCU will continue its workforce focus that will advance regional partnerships and invigorate the Southwest Florida community and beyond with highly skilled workers and a robust economy.

1 - Innovate in Academic Success
FGCU cultivates career-ready, globally engaged graduates equipped with knowledge and skills aligned with an ever-evolving Florida economy and the workforce of the future.
► Expanding accelerated education and pathways to meet the needs of Florida’s workforce including three-year bachelor’s degrees, STEM and in-demand careers, and 4+1 combination degree programs.
► Continuing to focus on micro-credentials with transferable skills providing sought-after employment qualities.
2 - Enhance Student Success and Well-Being
FGCU supports students with integrated services to bolster academic achievement and wellness by acquiring innovative technologies and identifying struggling students in real time to eliminate obstacles to graduation.
► Offering comprehensive services and programs that meet the needs of unique student populations.
► Focus on student case management and develop resiliency programs to improve graduation and retention.
3 - Elevate Partnerships for Regional Impact – Workforce
FGCU is accelerating collaborative research opportunities that create partnerships and respond to industry needs.
► Strengthening services and programs with existing partners to utilize Southwest Florida’s living laboratory in plant sciences, horticulture and agriculture.
► Responding to regional industry needs to enhance tourism and hospitality programs to provide a more robust talent pipeline.

► Creating opportunities to amplify teaching, research, community outreach, and micro-credential programs within Charlotte County and the Babcock community.
FGCU PUBLIC EDUCATION CAPITAL OUTLAY PROJECT REQUESTS
FGCU Reed Hall- $24,596,845
• Reed Hall is one of the oldest campus buildings constructed. in 1997.
• The building plans have been re-imagined to encourage student academic collaboration as well as align classroom sizes and layouts to student needs and improve utilization of the available space.
Wilson G. Bradshaw Library and Annex- $23,323,440
• Post-pandemic learning has redefined how students utilize library resources and space.
• Funds for this project will allow for the expansion of the Library and Annex and provide students with the ability to create collaborative workspaces and study environments for team project development.
• Additionally, this will impact student development in digital learning, video and sound production and areas of student research, Honors College programs, IT support, and faculty development.
Cohen Student Union- $12,226,939
• Research consistently demonstrates that students' academic achievements are positively influenced by the support they receive from campus resources.
• Funding is necessary to add additional student study rooms, student support services offices and continue to expand space to access university networks and other services.
Student Career Preparation & Innovative Partnerships New Construction- $39,562,100
• This funding will construct a building to serve as a centralized core structure dedicated to preparing students, traditional and non-traditional, for an ever-evolving dynamic workforce in the region and state.
Babcock Ranch New Construction- $43,464,553
• Recognizing the synergies and regional benefits of collaboration, FGCU has developed a partnership with Babcock Property Holdings (BPH) to create a learning community within a community with a primary focus on sustainability and resilience.
• Funding will construct a 125,000 square foot building on land donated by BPH. The building will allow collaboration of learning, research, and outreach focused on challenges specific to Southwest Florida.
