Today, Governor Ron DeSantis signed the state budget which includes historic support for public higher education. 

Now that the governor has acted, FGCU is poised to receive an increase in recurring operational support of $20 million and continued support of $2.2 million from the Prepping Institutions, Programs, Employers, and Learners Through Incentives for Nursing Education (PIPELINE) Fund. Additionally, the Board of Governors will distribute funding allocated for the Linking Industry to Nursing Education (LINE) Fund.

FGCU has also been earmarked for other funding from non-recurring sources. This includes: 

 Capital project 

• Health Sciences Building, Academic Building 10: $58,000,000

Water-quality project 

• Peace River Basin Water Quality and Community Resilience (SF3173): $4,150,000
