SG Elects A New President
June 6, 2023 by Eagle Advocacy

Emory Cavin began his term as FGCU's 26th Student Government President on April 1, 2023, and will serve a one-year term ending on March 31, 2024.  During this term, he will also serve as a member of the FGCU Board of Trustees.

Emory is a junior pursuing a communication degree. During his time at FGCU, he has been a Resident Assistant, Residence Life Team Assistant, Honors House Leader, and the Student Government Supervisor of Elections.

"I ran for President because I truly have come to love the students, faculty, and staff here at FGCU. So many of them have changed my life and nothing excites me more than to give back to that community in any way I can. I work every day to make sure that I leave FGCU even better than I found it because I truly believe in its mission and its power to do wonderful things for everyone who has the pleasure of going here, working here, or living here
