Governor DeSantis signed the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 State of Florida budget. The Freedom First Budget totals $109.9 billion, an increase of $8.3 billion over the current year.  

To maintain strong fiscal responsibility, Governor Ron DeSantis vetoed a record amount of more than $3.1 billion.  FGCU did not receive any veto actions by the Governor.  

Below are FGCU’s approved appropriations for FY 22-23:
• Operational Funding-$5 million
• Deferred Building Maintenance Program-$5,050,421
• Nursing Pipeline Program-$2,319,264 
• Nursing LINE Program Funding-$6 million amounts to each institution will be determined by the Board of Governors
