Tell Your Members of Congress to Reauthorize the Dr. Lorna Breen Act today!
- Stress, anxiety and burnout continue to affect emergency nurses and other health care workers.
- The Dr. Lorna Breen Health Care Provider Protection Act has resulted in the dispensing of more than $100 million in grants to support the mental and behavioral needs of health care workers.
- We need Congress to take action, or risk this program disappearing forever.
The Dr. Lorna Breen Health Care Provider Protection Reauthorization Act (S. 266/ H.R. 929) would reauthorize this important grant program that provides grant funding targeted at providing workers and students with training and education as well as direct mental health support and resources to workers who need them. The program also supports an evidence-based awareness campaign to inform system leaders on effective training and education strategies to reduce health care worker burnout.
Contact your representatives and senators and urge them to support S. 266/ H.R. 929 which would continue to combat burnout and mental fatigue affecting emergency nurses.
