Help Combat Mental Fatigue and Burnout Among Emergency Nurses.
Tell Your Members of Congress to Reauthorize the Dr. Lorna Breen Act today!
- Stress, anxiety and burnout continue to affect emergency nurses and other health care workers.
- The Dr. Lorna Breen Health Care Provider Protection Act resulted in the dispensing of nearly $100 million in grants to support the mental and behavioral needs of health care workers.
- The program will expire this year unless Congress takes action.
The Dr. Lorna Breen Health Care Provider Protection Reauthorization Act (S. 3679/ H.R. 7153) would reauthorize until 2029 this important grant program that provides grant funding targeted at providing workers and students with training and education as well as direct mental health support and resources. The program also supports an evidence-based awareness campaign to inform system leaders on effective training and education strategies to reduce health care worker burnout.
Contact your representatives and senators and urge them to support S. 3679/ H.R. 7153 which would continue to combat burnout and mental fatigue affecting emergency nurses.
