The NCAA jeopardizes women's safety and opportunity by facilitating male invasion into women's sports. Despite being the most powerful collegiate athletic association in the world, they refuse to accept responsibility and stand up for the women they govern. And as the NCAA succumbs to political pressure, they force an unbearable burden on college women, forcing them to choose between unsafe competition or no competition at all. It's time the NCAA do their job and put the safety and dignity of women first.
Representative Greg Steube (R-Florida-17th) and Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tennessee) introduced a resolution in the House of Representatives and Senate that:
- Calls on the NCAA to revoke its policy allowing transgender-identifying males to compete in women’s sports.
- Implores the NCAA to immediately restore the integrity of women’s sports by prohibiting biological males from competing on women’s teams.
- Urges the NCAA to adopt a uniform, sex-based policy for all sports and divisions.
- Calls on all sports-governing bodies in the United States to protect women’s sports as a category exclusively for biological females.
We're calling on members of Congress to support this resolution as part of their commitment to protect female athletics. Message, call, and post on social media urging your representative and senators to co-sponsor this resolution in honor of National Girls and Women in Sports Day on February 5th!
