Protect WA Students: Vote NO on HB 1296
HB 1296 repeals Initiative 2081, by removing parent access to many critical education records in Washington State, including medical and mental health records, attendance records, and allows schools to wait 48 hours before notifying parents if their child has been a victim of a crime committed by a school employee or other person. It allows Washington public schools to keep secrets from parents about their student's gender "expression or identity" at school, allowing the schools to socially and potentially chemically or medically "transition" a student.

HB 1296 is now on the House Floor Calendar, meaning it is scheduled to get a vote in the House before the March 12th cutoff deadline. Please send your representatives an email telling them to vote NO! You can use the prefilled form, but if you have time, we recommend writing your own message.
