Help Community Associations Institute (CAI) oppose devastating legislation for Oklahoma community associations. After much controversy, HB 2800 barely passed the state House. Now we need to persuade Oklahoma Senators to OPPOSE HB 2800!
While stakeholders successfully had problematic language around short and long-term rentals removed from the bill, the Senate version still contains unnecessary and burdensome requirements for Oklahoma associations, including:
- Setting arbitrary fee caps on all individual fees assessed by an owners association or management company (excluding any fines, assessments or services).
- Creating administrative burdens for associations.
- Inviting confusion and dissatisfaction around overly vague and flawed language.
Add your name to our list of Oklahomans who OPPOSE HB 2800 TODAY! By signing this petition, you are urging your Oklahoma state Senators to act in opposition to this harmful and flawed legislation for the approximately 162,000 Oklahomans living in 65,000 homes in nearly 2,000 community associations.
