The BoatU.S. Government Affairs team joined this year’s Capitol Hill Ocean Week, hosted by the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation. We joined forces with our colleagues from the BoatU.S. Foundation in a united effort to advocate for boaters and our shared marine environments.
Together with the Foundation, we sponsored the Outdoor Recreation in Marine Protected Areas breakout session. This event provided an opportunity to engage with ocean advocates in supporting marine ecosystems. Strategies to balance outdoor recreation with conservation were discussed, ensuring that marine protected areas can be enjoyed responsibly.
Our partnership with the BoatU.S. Foundation allows us to effectively promote safe, smart, and clean boating. By working together, we strive to keep our waterways accessible and enjoyable for all, fostering a deep respect and stewardship for our natural resources.
Through these collaborative efforts, we are making a positive impact on the future of our oceans and the recreational activities they support. By advocating for policies and practices that protect our marine environments, we are helping to preserve these vital ecosystems for future generations.
Stay tuned for more updates on our efforts and how you can get involved in promoting responsible boating and marine conservation.
