Action Center Features Explained
April 6, 2023 by Elisabeth Gehl

There are multiple features in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Action Center to support your federal and state advocacy efforts.

To help you better understand what they all mean and how to utilize them, here is an explanation of each feature:

Advocacy Campaigns: Each of the three campaigns allows you to email a letter to your members of Congress and/or post a Tweet in support of three top BBBSA federal policy priorities: OJJDP Youth Mentoring Grant FY 24 funding, the RISE from Trauma Act, and Youth Workforce Readiness Act.

State Legislation: This comprehensive policy map will enable you to track and research the state policies most relevant to BBBS' mission and work. Click on your state and you will see a summary of policy issues and where they stand within your State Legislature.

Sign Up for Alerts: When a user signs up for alerts, their name is added to a list of contacts being collected by the BBBSA Government Relations Team so that we can send advocacy related updates and information.

Find Legislation: Users can search for any state bill in their State Legislature.

Announcements: Blogs posted by the BBBSA Government Relations team to provide key advocacy related updates, information, and calls to action.
