The Autism Collaboration, Accountability, Research, Education, and Support (CARES) Act represents a landmark in coordinated federal efforts to address the increasing prevalence of Autism. The Autism CARES Act authorizes critical research, surveillance, training and coordination to enhance the care and understanding of Autism and to support families.

The reauthorization passed the Senate in November and the House on December 16. The bill now goes to the President's desk to be signed into law.
