On Wednesday, April 26th, Senator Kaine reintroduced the Supporting Our Direct Care Workforce and Family Caregivers Act (S. 1298), a bill that would authorize grant funds through the Administration on Community Living to support the recruitment, training, and retention of direct care workers and family caregivers. Co-sponsors of the bill are Senators Bob Casey, Kirsten Gillibrand, Maggie Hassan, Jack Reed, Tina Smith, Sheldon Whitehouse, and Ron Wyden.
