Ask Congress to Make Financial Aid Offer Letters Transparent
According to a report by the Government Accountability Office, most colleges are not following best practices for providing clear and standard information in their financial aid offer letters.  Alarmingly, the report also noted that 91 percent of colleges do not include or minimized the net price to attend their institutions. Congress should act now to ensure that this practice ends and that students receive financial aid offer letters that are transparent and consistent across institutions.
