The Association of American Medical Colleges projects a shortage of up to 124,000 physicians by 2034 in both primary and specialty care. Given the increased demand for urological services by an aging population, we need Congress to take immediate action to ensure a fully trained urological workforce for the future. The Resident Physician Shortage Reduction Act (S. 1302/H.R. 2389) will help increase access to care, alleviate the physician shortage by expanding opportunities for residency training, and help strengthen and diversify the health care workforce.
Ask your Members of Congress to support improved access to essential health services for many Americans by helping to increase the number of practicing urologists in America. Urge them to cosponsor the Resident Physician Shortage Reduction Act today!
