In February 2025, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health released proposed amendment to 105 CMR 125.000 - Licensing of Radiologic Technologists. The proposed amendments would establish licensure requirements for a Limited Scope of Practice in Radiography license in the state. By requiring limited-scope radiographers to obtain licensure through the Department of Public Health, Massachusetts is taking a critical step to ensure Bay Stater’s receive safe, high-quality care. The Department of Public Health will hold a public hearing on the proposed amendments to 105 CMR 125.000 on March 26, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. If you are interested in attending the hearing or submitting public testimony, more information can be found on the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s website at http://mass.gov/dph/proposed-regulations.
