V.A. National Standards of Practice: Therapeutic Radiologic Technologist

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting public comments on updating the therapeutic radiologic technologist standard of practice.

The proposed rules change to the Veterans Affairs National Standards of Practice for therapeutic radiologic technologists working at Veterans Affairs facilities would require them to practice in accordance with the ASRT Practice Standards for Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy radiation therapist standards. By aligning its standards with the ASRT Practice Standards, the Department of Veterans Affairs would be taking a crucial step in protecting patients.

Public comments must be received by Sept. 27, 2024. Use the Advocacy Action Center to submit your comment.
