The Nevada Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers unveiled the 2025 Nevada Infrastructure Report Card on June 11th, giving the state's infrastructure an overall grade of ‘C+.’ This surpasses Nevada’s 2018 GPA and the national 2025 GPA of ‘C’ from the Report Card for America’s Infrastructure. A ‘C+’ is one of the highest grades in the nation; while the state’s infrastructure is in mediocre condition, there are signs of improvement.
Category | 2025 Grade |
---|---|
Aviation | C+ |
Bridges | B- |
Dams | C- |
Drinking Water | C- |
Energy | C+ |
Public Parks | C+ |
Roads | C |
Wastewater | B- |
The 2025 Nevada Report Card provides insight needed to start conversations and ignite action to improve the 2025 grades and, as a result, the state’s future by:
- Continuing to index the state fuel tax to inflation;
- Increasing operations and maintenance budgets as additional infrastructure is added to the network;
- Sustaining support for emerging technologies and fostering an attractive culture for innovative companies; and
- Developing and implementing a new transportation funding mechanism to compensate for the influx of electric vehicles using Nevada’s roadways.
We need your help to keep infrastructure investment at the top of legislators’ priorities. While Nevada’s infrastructure is performing better than most infrastructure systems across the nation, investments must be made to ensure a more prosperous and secure future for Nevada residents and businesses.
