The report highlights the current state of Mississippi’s infrastructure, offering residents and policymakers a tool to engage in conversation about the investment needed to improve and maintain critical infrastructure systems that are crucial to the health and safety of people in Mississippi. While the federal Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act is providing Mississippi billions in infrastructure funding, this money is just a down payment, and securing sustainable funding sources is imperative to elevate Mississippi's infrastructure to meet modern standards and ensure the safety and well-being of its residents.
