The best way to educate Members of Congress about the role of infection preventionists is to meet with them. While policymakers aren't always able to meet with individuals, they will prioritize opportunities to meet with groups of people to discuss important issues. APIC chapter meetings are a great way to engage policymakers and inform them about key issues affecting the profession. Please use this editable letter to invite your Members of Congress to participate in a meeting. APIC staff will be happy to provide materials and work with you on updating legislators.
