Urge Congress to Support the Occupational Therapy Workforce!
The Department of Education has released its final rule implementing the changes Congress made to graduate student loan limits. As expected, occupational therapy was not included in the list of professional programs in the draft regulatory language. This means that future OT students will only have access to $20,500 per year up to a lifetime cap of $100,000 for graduate student loans.

The extremely limited list of professions included in the "professional programs" category  is not what Congress intended. We need you to contact your Members of Congress to urge them to address this issue before it has serious, long-term damage to the occupational therapy and larger healthcare workforce.

It’s vital for your Members of Congress to hear from you today so they prioritize this critical issue.
