Sign Our Ten Commandments Petition!

Despite our robocalls and emails from our supporters as well as substantial cosponsor support, the Ten Commandments legislation for schools did not pass in the 2025 legislative session here in Kentucky; however, the legislature did pass a bill to restore the Ten Commandments monument to the state capitol grounds. So, they are taking a "baby steps" approach.

We would like you to sign our petition to encourage our state legislators to take the next step and formally allow teachers and principals in our public schools to post the Ten Commandments. We believe that they can legally do this if the Ten Commandments are considered as a historically noteworthy document according to state law.

Petition Text

Dear Speaker of the House David Osborne, Majority Leader Steven Rudy, and Majority Whip Jason Nemes,

I, the undersigned, stand with the Kentucky Family Association and the Family Foundation in supporting legislation to get the Ten Commandments back in our public schools.

We can do this by requiring the school boards to allow teachers and principals to post and mention the Ten Commandments for literature, history, and civics classes. In this way, the schools would treat the Ten Commandments as a historically noteworthy document along with others such as the Declaration of Independence and the Mayflower Compact. This would be similar to the 2025 House Bill 116.

Please endorse Ten Commandments legislation for our public schools and bring it up for a vote in the education committee and on the floor of the KY House. Let’s make this law in Kentucky!
