Petition for Passing the Baby Olivia Act

The Baby Olivia Act is legislation that is aimed at cultivating a culture of life in public school students by requiring a video on fetal development in health class or sexual education class. This educational video can take the form of an ultrasound video and or a 3D-animated video.

Some studies show that women who see ultrasounds of their own babies in the womb are a bit less likely to go forward with an abortion. So, many pro-lifers want to see the Baby Olivia Act pass here in Kentucky.

Petition Text

Dear Speaker of the House David Osborne, Majority Leader Steven Rudy, Majority Whip Jason Nemes, and Education Committee Chair Scott Lewis,

I, the undersigned, stand with the Kentucky Family Association, Kentucky Doctors for Life, the Family Foundation, and Kentucky Right to Life in supporting the Baby Olivia Act.

This legislation requires our public schools to show a video or ultrasound display of the development of a baby in the womb, for health class or sex ed. class. I believe that these videos will encourage a culture of life in Kentucky's next generation while educating students on human anatomy and development.

This legislation had the most cosponsors of any bill in the education committee in 2025. Please endorse the Baby Olivia Act and bring it up for a vote in committee and on the floor of the KY House, and get it passed to become law.
