ABH is re-launching our campaign to strengthen mental health centers.
The new state legislative session has begun. Senate bill 981/House bill 1396 would increase reimbursement rates to mental health centers. These bills were recently filed for the new legislative session.
These bills would require MassHealth to:
- Implement a 5% rate increase for all outpatient behavioral health services.
- Review rates every 2 years.
- Ensure mental health center rates are at least 20% above rates paid for comparable behavioral health services delivered in private practices.
The next step in our campaign is to garner co-sponsors to these bills. We are asking for your help in this.
Please use the link below/template to email your state lawmakers and ask them to co-sponsor these bills.
