Urge Your U.S. Representative to Support Federal Funding for Nurse Practitioners
As Congress returns to Washington D.C., a top priority in the House of Representatives will be finishing the appropriations process for Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 before October 1, 2025. As you may know, nursing only receives federal funding through appropriations and does not receive mandatory funding. The Title VIII Nursing Workforce Development Programs are the main source of federal funding for nursing and received $305.472 million in FY 2025. Time is of the essence as the House Appropriations Committee is currently considering this legislation, which will then go to the House Floor for passage.  Please use the link below to send a letter to your Representative urging them to support full funding of the Title VIII programs in FY2026.
