Ask your Senate and Assembly members to support the inclusion of a 2.9% rate increase for Durable Medical Equipment (DME) in this year’s state budget to ensure the state meets its obligation to provide the necessary support to providers to combat inflation.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services recently published its Consumer Price Index (CPI-U) adjustments for DME providers for the 2025 calendar year. Medicare increased its reimbursement for DME by roughly 2.9%.
Without a corresponding Medicaid adjustment, providers in New York will struggle to maintain financial stability in order to continue delivering essential services. It would also further diminish access to essential equipment and will exacerbate geographic disparities. Including a 2.9% rate increase in this year’s state budget will ensure the state meets its obligation to provide the necessary support to providers to combat inflation.
