About H.R. 783/S. 248, the Sustainable Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Services in the Home Act

This bipartisan legislation would allow CR/ICR/PR programs to resume providing virtual sessions in the patient’s home. This proved to be an effective way to deliver these treatments and a valuable option for Medicare patients during the public health emergency, which expired in 2023. Virtual delivery removes barriers to participation, such as travel expenses and long distance to a center-based rehabilitation program, leading to improved patient adherence and health outcomes.
